NOVEMBER
Dear philoptochos Members,
Happy November! We’re on the cusp of our Holiday Season and about to embark on the preparations we conduct annually to assure that our community is well cared for. Please get your calendars out to note the dates of upcoming events and plan to take part in as much as you are able. We welcome you in every instance!
Our community will soon be receiving a letter requesting support for our Philoptochos programs. As you know, we support over 40 local initiatives and 20 regional and national endeavors that assist those seeking comfort in difficult times. Details are available on our website that illuminate our use of funds, and we encourage you to direct anyone with questions to have a look at our financials for clarity. We are transparent in all that we do, and we are very grateful for every donation that furthers our service to the community. Our members continue to be our greatest asset, however, and we thank each of you for your time and all that you do!

Our Philoptochos assembled 100 Hygiene Kits for the use of Hurricane Helene survivors in North Carolina. These supplies have been transported and are now in the hands of those who need them. Thank you to everyone who assisted, Elaine McCoy, Stephanie Doukas, Jill Serrano, Andrea Dikeou, Zoe Palmer & Son, Anthea Gracie and Joni Kappos. Your help made a big difference!
medicare seminar
Thank you to Nikki Parker and Oak Street Health for the informational seminar provided in October. Pete’s Central One prepared our delicious lunch and there was much to absorb about Medicare. If anyone has any ongoing questions or needs, please call Nikki Parker at 303.947.5644.
SPECIAL THANKS TO TETTA KALLAS AND PAM TORRENCE
Some people are born with the gift of making beautiful things with their hands. We are so blessed to have the love and skill that Tetta Kallas puts into every blanket she makes for our newborns as gifts for their 40 Day Blessings. These blankets are exquisitely crafted and will be kept as heirlooms for generations. Pam Torrence shows equal skill and care in the sweaters she knits for each child, as well, and they bring delight to every family. What lucky babies! We thank both Tetta and Pam for the time and talent they share with us this way. Their gifts are priceless.
WELCOME BABY ELENO TRIANTAFILOS MURDZIA!
Our own Vasiliki Murdzia has brought a new life into our parish with the birth of her son Eleno born on October 9th, weighing 9.5 pounds and 22” tall. He is beautiful, as you can see. Να σας ζησει!
